DAY CARE

(3 MONTHS-2 YEARS)

Our Daycare Programme is designed to provide quality care and development for your infant and toddler while you are at work. The Cradle Daycare is made up of our Creche and Playgroup class.

The Creche: Our well-trained and competent staff ensure that your babies and toddlers between the ages of 3 to 18 months are kept happy, clean, well fed and cuddled to sleep when necessary, while you take care of other activities.

Playgroup Programme

Way of Learning

Our Playgroup is a foundation class for pre-school. It is designed for 18 months to 2 year olds. Our Playgroup curriculum is designed to encourage a sound early child development in a serene, clean and homely environment. Our qualified teachers and assistants patiently assist and guide our children to be independent, confident and well-rounded young individuals who love to learn. By the time they graduate from this program, your children will be ready for advanced learning in the Nursery school.

School Work

Motor Skills

At this stage, our children learn manual dexterity (movement of the muscles of the hands). They develop their ability to grip objects. The Playgroup Programme has activities centred on using the three dominant fingers. The activities include placing simple puzzle pieces in their right places, transferring objects from one container to another etc. These activities help the coordination of the eyes and the hands.

Sensorial Activities

Our children learn the use of the senses. They learn about touch, smell, sight, feeling and hearing through Montessori activities that enhance their sensory skills. Some of these activities include identifying sources of sound using the play-learn method of the ‘silent game’ or learning to recognise the spicy smell of food items like ginger and onions.

Language Activities

This subject area introduces our toddlers to letter sounds, number names and naming of objects. Some of the activities include naming pictures and objects, and matching pictures with sounds and objects.

Social Skills

Here, our children learn to identify themselves and others in relational settings. They engage in social skills that enhance their understanding and use of their emotional intelligence, intra and interpersonal relationships.

Cognitive Skills

This area of learning helps our children to develop their cognitive abilities as they learn to better process and organize information, to form a baseline of understanding about the world around them. Through our designed activities, our children integrate learning with play, which encourages better engagement with the world around them.

Sports, Play and Exercise

Our young children are introduced to group play, simple age-appropriate exercise and sports to keep them active and healthy.
